“ I'm back after a 5 year hiatus. This is a great Italian restaurant. One of the best I can think of. To start it out, I'm having a Negroni. This is made with Gin, Campari, sweet vermouth and Pelligroni Aranciata. This is filled to the rim and tastes just perfect! I love the great garnish! It's a spiked orange slice, a sprig of rosemary and an Amarena cherry! That's not common! For my first food item, I'm trying the Chopped Antipasto Salad made with romaine lettuce, provolone, Genoa salami, string beans, tomatoes, chick peas and Parmesan cheese. Well? It's not low cholesterol, but Italian makes it hard to avoid. One cheat night won't kill me. This is good! Look at the size of this! I just noticed the Happy Hour is now 3-5 (was 4-6). For my next item, I'm trying the Our Meatballs. These are the smaller version of My Aunt Josie's Meatballs made with stracciatela mozzarella, toasted breadcrumbs and EVOO. Oh yeah! These are the best! Wow! For my next food item, I'm having the Grilled Artichokes made crushed hazelnuts, Parmesan cheese and lemon. These are good! This is nice and light! For my next drink, I'm having the Bricco Black Maple Manhattan made with Makers Mark bourbon, Amaro, walnut bitters, maple syrup, cinnamon and an Amarena cherry garnish. Look at that presentation! What a cool garnish! It's a dried orange slice, sprig of rosemary and an Amarena cherry! This is great! I love the unusual taste! For my next drink, I'm having a New York Sour made with Redemption bourbon, lemon, egg whites and a red wine floater. This is very light and easy to drink. I love the curled lemon peel garnish. The egg whites add that white foam at the top. For my entree, i am having the Bell & Evans Oven Roasted Free Range Chicken made with potato purée, roasted broccoli and salsa verde. For our last drink, we are having the Big Daddy Smoke Show which is a Komos Reposado Rosa Cinnamon Spice Tequila Old Fashioned smoked and served tableside (well, barside) in a smoke box. box. I love it! A drunk served out of a smoke box. This tastes fabulous! What a great night here! ”

“ A solid option for lunch takeout! The grinders are served with foccacia and a yummy salad. The peppers add that zest to the clearly house made tomato sauce. The cheese has a pull, I subbed mozz instead of provolone. The atmosphere is quaint and they are always friendly. Give them a try! ”

“ We have returned here many times over the past five years and have never been disappointed. Love going for late lunch when things have quieted down. Menu has so many choices there's no need for dinner after. Yesterday in addition to the complimentary foccacia and olive oil we split the whipped ricotta with honey and herbs. Drinks were a seasonal spiced pumpkin espresso mocktail and a maple Manhattan. Nice mocktail menu! Chicken Milanese and chicken piccata servings were so large we brought home half of each for another meal. Servers are always so pleasant. Cant wait to go back.... ”

“ My friend and I went to Bricco Trattoria Friday night for dinner. We got there about 40 minutes before they closed and really appreciated the restaurant staff not making us feel rushed and had amazing service by our waiter Jason. I loved that the menu had an espresso martini menu! We both ordered espresso martinis that were good and had cute garnishes. For appetizer, I tried the tomato basil soup which tasted like it had taco seasoning in it. I did not like it. For entree, we both had the chicken parm with vodka sauce. It tasted very good, we just expected the sauce to be thicker since it was pretty watery. For dessert, we had the chocolate hazelnut mousse cake which was tasty. I would definitely recommend trying out Bricco Trattoria! ”

“ Ahhh Bricco. Cozy and intimate but inviting and comfortable. I've been here many times and regret waiting so long to write a review. My latest visit was a Friday night and it was packed - so make a reservation! Thankfully when we walked in another party canceled so we got a table almost immediately. Our server was exceptional. She clearly knew both the dinner and drink menu well. I ordered a Manhattan and I must say it was one of the best ones I've ever had. So good that I ordered another one. Unfortunately something was not right about the second order but our server quickly replaced it and the new one was just good as the first - crisis averted! For dinner I had the scallops which was a great portion size and cooked to perfection. Everyone else at the table enjoyed their meals as well. I tried a slice of the flatbread and thought it was really good too. All in all I've never been let down here by the service or meals and look forward to returning to try other items on the menu soon. ”

Not sure if it's the drinking water in Glastonbury, or some sort of social movement, but when we walked into Bricco for a 1:00 Thursday lunch, the weekend seemed well underway as the place was jam packed to a Saturday night level. The restaurant is classy and gorgeous, service was professional and attentive, and the food was great. As we perused the lunch menu, we were greeted with some excellent complimentary focaccia bread. The lunch menu includes appetizer, salads, sandwiches, pizzas, entrees, and pasta groupings. We went into the sandwich section and locked in on a Spicy Honey Crispy Fried Chicken Sandwich ($17) on a toasted brioche bun, with tomato jam, coleslaw, and fries for me. My wife chose a Chicken Cutlet Grinder ($15) with fried peppers, plum tomato sauce and provolone cheese. The chicken on both sandwiches were a very generous portion and both were tender and juicy and pretty much perfect. My sandwich was excellent, and the Spicy Honey Chicken sure delivered their promised flavors! I also very much enjoyed the soft brioche and the fries. We both had half our meals for lunch and finished them up on Saturday. We had a family dinner at Bricco in West Hartford in November, and clearly both restaurants are very impressive. ”
